Welcome Earth children:

We know you are in shock after waking up and discovering that you are in
another world. That is normal and to be expected, but don't be frightened. You
are not prisoners and not in any danger. You are here as part of the Tarizon
Repopulation Project, a joint venture between Tarizon and the government of
the United States of America.

In 1949 Tarizon suffered through a series of super volcanic eruptions over a
period of 181 days. These eruptions sent millions of tons of toxic vapors into
the atmosphere making Tarizon nearly uninhabitable. Most of our citizens
became very ill and millions died. Those who survived were generally
infertile. Those who did conceive children usually produced mutants. The
planet was in chaos and anarchy for many years until order was restored by
our government, Central Authority.

To cope with the toxic atmosphere, central authority built huge domes over
most of our major cities. Within these domes atmospheric conditions were
restored to normal. Most of our healthy population live under these domes. In
accordance with our treaty with your government, all Earth exiles will be
allowed to live in a domed city.

The reason most of you are referred to as a exiles is due to the Fact that you
somehow became aware of the Tarizon Repopulation project and it was
determined that your continued presence on Earth was a risk to the project.
Under the treaty U.S. Citizens cannot be killed or rendered incompetent, so
the only alternative was exile.

We know you must be concerned about your families back on earth. They
have been told you have died in an automobile accident and your remains are
unidentifiable. We regret the necessity for this subterfuge but it was
necessary under the circumstances.  If you feel you need the services of a
psychologist, grief counselor, or clergyman to help you adjust to your exile,
one will be provided for you.

Your travel to Tarizon took a little over eleven month. During the voyage you
were drugged and kept alive in a transport tube. When you awoke it probably
seemed like you had just had a good night's sleep. The good news is you
age very little during space travel.

After you are given an opportunity to clean up, you will be our guest at a
banquet in your honor. Tarizon food is very nutritious and quite delicious, so
we are confident you will enjoy it. You are cautioned not to eat too much,
however, as your stomach's have shrunk over the past eleven months and
shouldn't be over taxed.

Once you have eaten you will meet with individual counselors for processing
and for assignment to temporary quarters. For the first few weeks you will
also be assigned a guide to help you adapt to your new home. After
evaluation of your education and skills, you will be given a work assignment.

Again, welcome to Tarizon. If you have any questions please direct them to
your counselor or your guide. Thank you.
